As Head Designer for Sperry Women's Sportswear, it was crucial to forge an emotional connection to water, ignite the imagination, and soothe the human spirit. Sperry, founded in 1935, has been perfecting its craft for over 90 years. Paul Sperry’s invention of the world’s first non-slip sole became the foundation for the original boat shoe, establishing a legacy. Drawing inspiration from this rich history, our goal was to create designs that capture the essence of water’s calming yet adventurous qualities staying true to Sperry’s iconic roots.
